The Antahkaranas
The Antahkaranas
Yoga sees the mind as an instrument, not an obstacle. The more we understand our own mind, the more we will understand why we behave the way we do, and how to work with our mind instead of against it. Through the process of mapping the mind and noticing which “part” of the mind is impacting us at any given time, we can learn to use these inner instruments as tools for self-understanding, self-mastery and self-realisation.
The Antakaranas Class Series is an exploration of the four inner instruments of the mind - manas, chitta, ahamkara and buddhi. Through lecture, self study and practice, this series will help you deepen your understanding of the different parts of your own mind and how you relate to your inner and outer world.
